SUMY STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER A.S. MAKARENKO officially launched the initiative «Development of Team Spirit for the Implementation and Incorporation of EU Values in Ukraine (TEAM-EU-UA)», funded by the European Union.
The project aims to strengthen teamwork and promote the dissemination and practical implementation of European values in various spheres of public life in Ukraine.
As part of the project «Development of Team Spirit for the Implementation and Incorporation of EU Values in Ukraine (TEAM-EU-UA)» on February 24, 2026, the inclusive program «GAMES AND ACTIVITIES FOR ALL», designed to promote inclusiveness and aimed at various groups of schoolchildren (including children with special needs and migrants), was officially launched.
The project team of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko organized and conducted an event as part of the TEAM-EU-UA project. Professor Alexander Tomenko coordinated the implementation of the project and provided overall academic and organizational leadership. Associate Professor Svitlana Khvozdetska participated in the planning and implementation of the program’s activities. Professor Yulia Bondarenko supported the development of the content and the delivery of key sessions. Associate Professor Zhanna Cherniakova provided organizational support and coordinated communication with the participants and stakeholders.
Schoolchildren aged 9-11, students of the project’s partner institution, Sumy Secondary School No. 15, were actively involved in the inclusive program.
For safety reasons, given the air raid alert, the event was held in a shelter, which had been prepared in advance thanks to the efforts of the school administration and physical education teacher Viktoria Romanova.
First lesson on topic 1. «Friendship. Team spirit. Leadership» included active games such as «Playing Balls», «Above and Below», «Boot», as well as interactive games that sparked great interest among the children and helped them learn about relevant European values.
